Halloween

Halloween was super fun this year! We went to a neighborhood near our place. Most of the houses were decorated really fun. Another fun thing about trick or treating in Florida is that the weather is nice so most people set up lawn chairs on their drive way and hand out candy. A few people had grills out and one house even took their T.V. outside to watch the game. It has been the hottest Oct. ever! We have had record highs all month long, high 80's but with the humidity feels like 90's. I'm pretty sure this is our last Halloween that we will be dying of heat while trick or treating.

Lily looked sooo cute. My favorite part was her big dangly clip on earrings. She even kept them on all night.

Lily and her best bud at our wards trunk or treat.

I went to Madison's Halloween party at her school. (She had already changed out of her costume when I took these pics.) Madison talks about these two seater trikes at her school all the time. Madison's teacher hoped on for a ride. We love Ms. Mary :)

So You Think You Can Dance..Dance...Dance...

So You Think You Can Dance is possibly my favorite T.V. show of all time! My good friend Heather and I bought tickets for the live tour in Miami during the Season 5 finale show and I have been dreaming of this night ever since!
We got pretty good seats considering it was almost sold out by the time we got tickets. The show exceeded all my expectations. They are so much better in person then on t.v. I have always loved dance. It was amazing for me to see the talent of these guys. I know I couldn't sound cheesier right now but I will remember this night forever!!!
There was no flash photography allowed in other words I couldn't get any pics to turn out. I turned my flash on and got this picture at the very end. This is the producer of the show explaining to us that since 3 of the dancers are from Miami and since Miami has always been "the most welcoming city" They performed extra dances for us that wont be performed at any other show. Thank you Miami...

Because a girl can never have too many purses!

Lily is such a goofy girl lately I thought I would compile her silliness.
She loves to push her stroller around the house with ALL her purses on the handles. She gets really frustrated when the stroller tips over from the weight. Its pretty funny.

Found her watching Elmo in a new "chair"
Wearing her train hat to play trains.
Caught by Dad washing up.
(p.s. one more new post below)

Stuff we've been doing on the weekend.

The picture above is Madison at the Museum of Discovery and Science. Some workers had taken a snake out for the kids to look at. Most kids were timidly walking by clinging on to their parents. Madison spotted this thing out of the corner of her eye and ran right up to it before I had a chance to freak out. Oh well, crazy girl!
These are from The Fishing Hall of Fame Museum. I have never been interested in going because lets be honest what could be fun about a fishing museum? Well I was totally shocked and surprised. It is an amazing museum with lots of fun things to do for kids. I would dare to say we had a better time here then at the Discovery and Science Museum. I must have said about 10 times while we were their, "this is way cooler then I thought it would be!" To my fellow residents you should go!

Between Confrence sessions on Saturday we took the kids to Elmo Live. We saw the commercial that morning got online and bought some cheap tickets then left a couple hours later. It was a super fun last minute outing. If you know Lilly you know why we had to go. The girl loves Elmo!
The video is of her pouting during intermission because Elmo is gone.

The table is finished!!

The great table project is finished! The before picture is below. I took it after Mike had sanded the top so let me describe it for you: purple nail polish, knife marks, pen, permanent marker, dried pink and purple sparkle paint, and the finish rubbed off from me trying to clean it with a magic eraser!! Can you picture that? It was gross, anyway since they don't sell dining sets at the dollar store we really could not afford a new one. Originally we were going to sand the top and stain it to match. After Mike sanded the top he mentioned how AWESOME his new sander was and how EASY it would be to refinish the whole thing in a stain I would like! I was excited, but let me warn you it was NOT easy! I love the end result and I have to say that even though Mike is super busy he is always thinking of things he can do for me to make me happy. I sure do love him for that. Also, do you see the little white table with red chairs in the right corner of the picture? The girls do all there art and have most of there meals there to avoid future disasters!

We Have An Anouncement......

As many of you know Mike has been interviewing for Periodontics residencies. He got 9 interviews, went on 3 (so far) and received 3 acceptances on the same day! It has been a hard decision between: Stony Brook, NY; Louisville, KY; Kansas City, MO and whether to go on the rest of the interviews or not. We've spent the last few days praying, stressing, panicking, praying, repeat.... Well we've made our decision and the winner is (drum roll please)..........University of Missouri, Kansas City! The program has some awesome perks. First he gets 30% of his production (this is crazy since very few residencies are paid.) Second he will finish in 30 months instead of the regular 36 (also rare). I am excited that we can rent a house for less then we pay for our apartment here in Florida. I was also excited to hear there are alot of other LDS students AKA my lifeline away from home. I can't wait to visit all of the church history sites and go on some new adventures. I am crazy over the moon proud of Mike for getting one of the two seats offered their every year and can't wait to be in Missouri 9 months from now!
